After passing this peak, the Jingzang Expressway G6 passes through the arid region of former Mongolia and finally reaches Lhasa, the central city of Tibet.
It passes through 7 provinces, Beijing, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Gansu, Qinghai and Xizang, total distance of 3,724km!!
Japan’s longest expressway is the Tohoku Expressway at 680 km, so G6 is approximately 5.5 times the distance.

Until now, I have comfortably climbed up to the vicinity of Badaling in an acquaintance’s private car, but I got off at the parking lot about 60 km away, and then took a public transport (bus) to the entrance of Badaling.

We had to take a bus like the one in the picture to get to the ticket office at the foot of Badaling, but the bus didn’t arrive on time, causing a huge panic among the passengers.

If you were to widen the gap between yourself and the person in front even a little, someone will cut into your queue.
