Batak people, population 6 million (2.5% of Indonesia’s population), Toba Batak is the largest subgroup.

When Indonesia was a Dutch colony, Christian missionary activities were active in this area. As a result, the number of Christians increased in areas around Lake Toba and Samosir, and it is said that there are currently about 110,000 believers.

When I plotted the locations of churches near Lake Toba and Samosir Island using Google Maps, I obtained the results shown in the drawing below.
