Chennai
Travel to India, April 24 – May 1, 2016. This is my sixth trip to India. My destination this time is a rural town called Nagapattinam facing the Bay of Bengal from Chennai to Bangalore.

The flight from Singapore to Chennai takes 4-hour. I arrived around 2 p.m. After that I went on to check into the hotel in the city.

Travel from Chennai to Bangalore by train. After spending 2 nights in Chennai, I am taking a sleeper train to Bangalore. The departure is at 9 p.m. and arrival at 3 a.m. 350 km in 6 hours.
The station building was designed by the British more than 140 years ago. It is nearly half a century older than Tokyo Train Station.

From the apartment, I travelled another 500 km to the nearest terminal on a 12-hour overnight train.
