Research on Traditional Houses

I became interested in the residential architecture of Nagapattinam, a small provincial city in the Indian subcontinent located on the opposite side of the Indian subcontinent from New Delhi, the capital of India.

I wanted to research the traditional houses that interested me, and with the help of the locals, I was able to select and research two houses, so I would like to write about them here.

Construction site

An Indian acquaintance of mine bought a piece of land with an old house on it and decided to build a new home. They asked me to design a new house on the land which I had completed.

Photos below shows the old house being demolished.
